The YWCA of Trinidad and Tobago is an NGO and a non for profit organisation working for social, economic and community development by providing opportunities for the development of women, girls and youth.

Our Organization

Our organisation is a working partnership of volunteers, members and staff, each bringing their special skills and awareness of community needs. Interested WOMEN, MEN, BOYS AND GIRLS who identify with our mission and who are committed to operating in accordance with our Core Values signal their interest to serve by completing an application form and complete the YWCA commitment card. Men and boys may join as associate members.

In keeping with our motto "By love serve one another", we have been providing community service to the people of Trinidad and Tobago since 1943. Our volunteers and members are encouraged to act locally to improve issues affecting women, girls and youth in their communities.

Our commitment is to provide programmes and services which are evidenced based and continually responsive to the needs or the community in the areas of Health, HIV/AIDS and Sexual and Reproductive Health, Elimination of Gender Based Violence and Human Rights, Peace with Justice and Economic Development and Environmental Sustainability.

Don't ever question the value of volunteers. Noah's Ark was built by volunteers; The Titanic was built by professionals.
